UNITE TO REACH OUT TO THE NON-PRIVILEGED IN AFRICA
INITIAL NETWORKING
In 2002, Reach Africa Foundation visited international organizations and African embassies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The intention was to establish working relations. This networking created solid work relationships among Africans in the Netherlands/Europe and enabled us to communicate and exchange information with each other.
CONFERENCE
In 2003, Reach Africa Foundation organized its first conference, "Towards Improving Businesses of African Migrants in The Netherlands".
CONFERENCE FOLLOW UP
In the same year (2003), Reach Africa Foundation organized its second conference, "Toward Promoting Unity and role of the Diaspora Africans in The Netherlands, Europe and Africa." This event was in conjunction with African Cultural Day. It was attended by ambassadors, European Union officials, local government officials, representatives of NGO's, academia and media. The focus of the conference was underscored by the vital role African immigrants play in the integration, domestic economy, politics, and in foreign trade, particularly with Africa.
FOOD RELIEF FOR THE NEEDY
Reach Africa signed an agreement with Voedselbank to distribute food relief to the needy. The purpose is to fight the hidden poverty and hunger among unemployed and underemployed African immigrants in The Hague.
In actuality, this program provided relief to needy and jobless immigrants not only from Africa but other nationalities as well. This event was held for 3 consecutive years, in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
MATERIAL ASSISTANCE
In 2006, Reach Africa Foundation successfully mobilized and distributed used clothes and shoes donated by individuals, companies and organizations in The Netherlands to aid underprivileged communities in Nigeria and Benin.
AFRICAN CULTURAL DAY
This event was held in conjuction with the second Conference. African Cultural Day celebrated and promoted African cultures in the Netherlands and throughout Europe.

POULTRY PROJECT
This project was coordinated with cooperation between Reach Africa Foundation and three international organizations (Cordaid The Hague, Wilde Ganzen Helverson, and NCDO Amsterdam).
The project was based in Imo state, Nigeria. The objective was to support agricultural projects which aimed at improving productivity and income of disadvantaged women in six villages. During this project, the women received training at various levels on how to maintain a modern poultry farm.
This project was started in 2005 and completed in 2012. Due to the success and positive impact of this project, Reach Africa Foundation is using it as a template for pilot projects which will attempt to duplicate the effort in other communities throughout the state.
SPORT ACTIVITIES
From February to November 2010, Reach Africa Foundation organized various sports activities for African immigrant women in The Hague. The activities included basketball, football, table tennis, gymnastics, tennis and badminton.
The women were encouraged to engage in various activities and advised of the importance of establishing and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and increasing self awareness.
